Our athletes performed the DB snatch, which is a new skill for them. The snatch is a movement that is fine tuned over a life time, not mastered in a 15 min practice session. However, our athletes performed this difficult movement adequately and will in no time show tremendous improvement. Watch this video for more instruction.

Brian - Nobody ever comments on here, but I thought I would for kicks!
That video on the db snatch looks a little different than the way we were doing it - little to no jump and his leg position doesn't change.
There's no perfect way, but I thought I'd mention that difference because it stood out when I watched the video.

Good observation Chris. Yes, there are few variations to the DB Snatch.
I think that as one becomes more efficient in the movement, and more power is generated from the hips, less of a jump is needed to to catch the weight overhead.
